Curves…. There is something very alluring attached to the word ‘curves’. Not that I am being totally face oriented, but then we girls are blessed with amazing curves and that should surely be flaunted! Sometimes we wear clothes which make us look weird, sometimes the wardrobe malfunctions are disastrous… and sometimes cuts don’t suit us at all.
And there are no ways we can let that happen! So here are some tips you which you can keep in mind while dressing casually or for some corporate event or a party!
Let’s great started—
Wear fitted clothes
We think fitted clothes are uncomfortable, but they aren’t. Clothes which are either too loose or too tight make you uncomfortable. It becomes necessarily important to know your correct size which shopping, especially from international stores like Forever 21, Zara. They make sizes according to American standards. A US medium size is Indian size and a US Small Size is Indian Medium and so on.
Don’t wear clothes with too many angles
Do you remember this one film when Kareena Kapoor was dressed up so badly that the dress had angles at all possible places, the necklines, the hemlines and even at the cuffs of the sleeve. This is an often problem faced by kaftans too, because they tend to create angles at the base. Ideal cuts you should choose are- princess cuts, A-line, skater dresses. Choose material which drapes well on your body, falling naturally on your curves.
Avoid Big Patterns.. I repeat AVOID BIG PATTERNS. When you wear large patterns, your body shape is emphasized. Straight or curvy, don’t ever even think of wearing big prints. It emphasizes things which aren’t required to be emphasized. Go for small prints, which are unidirectional and are vertical prints. The color difference between the prints and its background should be so selected that it doesn’t make you look distorted.
Jackets normally have padded shoulders, which give a firmer look while lettings the rest of the fabric drape well over the body. What you need to avoid is jackets with too many pockets. Also avoid jackets which have double breast jackets, because they add extra load to the part where it is not required. Keep in mind your height before wearing a jacket. If you are short, go for shorter jackets which go only till the mid-thigh, but if you are tall go for longer jackets, avoid the ones those end at the waist or below the bust line.
Now that you know these points, don’t forget to carry
